Levels of Care
The right level of care, at every stage of recovery
Treatment needs change over time. Our continuum lets you move between levels of care without starting your search over, all under one clinical philosophy.
Compare levels of care
| Level of Care | Time Commitment | Typical Length | Setting | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Residential (RTC) | 24/7 on-site care | 30–60 days, individualized | Live-in, on-campus | Early recovery with active substance use or acute symptoms |
| Partial Hospitalization (PHP) | 25–30 hours/week (5 days) | 2–4 weeks, individualized | On-site days, off-site evenings (sober living or home) | Clients stepping down from residential care |
| Intensive Outpatient (IOP) | 9–19 hours/week | 6–12 weeks, individualized | On-site sessions, day or evening tracks | Clients stepping down from PHP |
| Outpatient (OP) | 1–2 sessions/week | Ongoing, reviewed monthly | On-site or telehealth sessions | Clients completing IOP who want continued accountability |

Explore each level of care
RTC
Residential Treatment
24-hour supported living and clinical care in a structured, substance-free environment for people who need to fully step away from daily triggers to stabilize.
PHP
Partial Hospitalization Program
The most intensive outpatient-style level of care: full clinical days without an overnight stay, for clients who no longer need 24-hour supervision but still need significant daily structure.
IOP
Intensive Outpatient Program
A flexible, structured schedule of group and individual therapy that fits around work, school, or caregiving responsibilities while treatment continues.
OP
Outpatient Program
Ongoing, lower-intensity therapy and check-ins that support long-term recovery maintenance after a higher level of care, or for people who need less-frequent clinical support.
